No Customer Service is a gutsy depiction of Jill Carey’s experiences with boys, bars and life’s lessons, illustrated in compelling vignettes. She gives us life’s underbelly served straight up, delivering truths with “the savage charm of a woman child fluttering beneath dark lashes”.

Jill’s MFA in Computer Art thrust her into the experimental world of digital imagery combining poetry, illustration and music in her humorous multimedia presentations. No longer content to sell her pen and ink watercolors to museum shops and galleries, Jill booked herself coast to coast, reading her eclectic poems and performing acoustic songs in LA’s cafe artist scene, bookstores, schools, radio, and tv stations. Her unique writings expose quirky, yet universal observations to life. Jill currently teaches at SUNY Delhi. Her previous book, Debutante Without A Dress, earned Jill quite a cult fan base, the kind of attention that often eludes even seasoned poets.
